Happy Halloween!

Whew, I don't know who was worn out more, Wyatt or his parents?! We trick-or-treated this year, but only at a few select houses since Wyatt is still not great on distance walking. Of course we get him an insulated costume and it is 70 degrees on Halloween!

Our little monkey at our first stop, Grandma's!

Our last house stop was at the Baumann's where Wyatt was stripped down to do some laps in their new house. He also liked to go to Madison and point at her and garble something.

We are looking forward to next year Baby Madison! You are such a good and cute baby!

Bad pumpkin.

I spent a lot of time trying to teach Wyatt how to make monkey noises but it didn't work. Our official last stop on Halloween was the North Andrew football game (which they tromped North Nodaway!) Wyatt was free to run all over the place and I was too busy chasing him to take pictures. His favorite part was listening to the bad, he stood there and clapped and "danced". Word at the coffee shop the next morning was that someone had let a monkey loose at the ballgame. (Gotcha!)

Madison Joyce Baumann

Madison Joyce Baumann arrived on October 27th, 2008! She is a little thing, weighing in at a little over 5 pounds. Her and Mom are doing very well and we are so excited for the new parents - Greg and Megan.

Wyatt had a good time while we were visiting, he walked around the room and slid on his belly on the floor. He was quite fascinated with Madison, at one time he was waving at her. I already apologized to Megan for all future trouble Wyatt will get his cousin into.

Farmer Wyatt

We got to go ride on the combine with Derek's boss Leon on Tuesday. We both had a great times and I think Wyatt was a lot more into it than last year. See last year's pics...

Leon said that riding in the combine was a great way to get kids to go to sleep, as seen here with Wyatt's sleepy eyes.

Beans!

Wyatt's new fascination is with our shoes and hats. He likes to put on our shoes and shuffle around the kitchen. He will also put on Derek's dirty work hat and giggle.

" Ready to go chore Daddy!"

Unsolicited Mommy opinion - What a darling!

Happy 30th Kueker!

We went to Marshal for our friend Matt Kueker's surprise 30th Birthday Party. This picture is of him being surprised. You did a great job Amber!

AGR's at the party: Derek, Matt, Curt Rodgers and Todd Marshall. Our partying days have gotten a lot tamer!

Wyatt had a great time, there were a lot of other little kids around to play with. He was so tired he fell asleep at the table. After watching Mizzou blow the Texas ballgame, I felt like doing the same.

Of course we had to visit Tipton before the birthday party. Wyatt loves to visit my Mom and Dad's house!

Mom keeps digging out all these great old toys. Here is a kitchen set I remember very well from my childhood. Wyatt was VERY intrigued with it and played for a long time, quietly!

" Can I climb this? Grandma and Grandpa's house rocks! "

Callow Pumpkin Patch

We made a trip to Callow Farms last weekend to pick out our pumpkins. Here is Wyatt and Earl to Dog in the pumpkin patch. Wyatt is eyeing the four-wheeler and wagon that we took a ride in, this was Wyatt's favorite part!
Don is helping Wyatt select his carving pumpkin. We really loaded up and I (Lindy) need to get our fall display put together in your yard. It has been raining here for the last three days!
A little pumpkin for a little guy. Thanks Don and Con!

Indian Summer

Here are my newest excuses for not posting recently: Busy at school, weather is too nice to be inside, Wyatt is too fun to sit at the computer and post! Well, if you don't believe any of these, check out my pictures to see what we have been up to. I took these earlier today just so I had some material to post. :)
"Daddy, are we going to water the cows today?" Usually on Sundays Derek stays home with Wyatt and they run water for the cows. Wyatt was not happy when I put him in the car to go to Grandma's.

Wyatt loves to crawl up on anything and the lawn mower has an extra appeal of the bouncy seat.

Wyatt is very adventurous in the yard, he will take off walking all over the place. He loves to get to the middle of the driveway and throw rocks.

Once we got to Grandma Terri's, Wyatt cheered up real fast when he saw his John Deere Buck. He loves to push the buttons, which makes lots of noise.

Grandma Terri and Wyatt love to read books, she always has cool one that make noise or have moving parts!

Gratuitous cat picture - These are our "backdoor cats" Tapioca was a stray that took up residence at our house, she had kittens this summer and we have named them Cocoa, Butterscotch and Marshmallow (see the theme?) They are generally fun but get hit with the screen door a lot because they will not move out of the way.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, as you can tell by my lack of posts, life has been busy! School gets started, then the Holt Co. Autumn Festival takes over for a week, once we recovered from that Wyatt come up sick last week and ran a fever for 5 days (just a virus). Here are some assorted pictures from the last couple weeks.
Not fully content to play with the items in the cabinet, now Wyatt wants to play in the cabinets the cabinets themselves!
"Read to me Daddy!" I couldn't tell if the book or the human jungle gym was more entertaining?
My good friend Megan Baumann (or the other Megan Miller for you Sigma Kappas) is going to have a baby in October. She had a shower a couple weeks ago and really had a haul of great gifts. I cannot wait for Baby Girl Baumann to arrive!!!
At Derek's parents house watching the Mizzou game, Wyatt tries to shove Murray (the dog) off his Aunt Keri's lap. Maybe jealousy is something we might have to watch for?
Well, Grandma can fix anything - especially when she has a plate of ice cream cake (thanks to yours truly's 29th birthday).
"Why do all the cow's in my books have spots but Daddy's cows are all black?"

Holt Co. Autumn Festival. Wyatt was in his first parade riding the float for his Daycare. Their theme was the little rascals. Wyatt is in the #3 wagon-car.

Not a great picture, but my parents introduced Wyatt to the carnival at the Autumn Festival. Wyatt loved the merry-go-round and I will love a couple more years before he starts begging to ride the rides! My parents came up to watch Wyatt because I was busy finishing the FFA float, handing our prize money, calling BINGO and working at the Kiwanis food stand (while still recovering from the Dunk tank session I served the night before in 50 degree weather!)
