Parent's Weekend

This weekend Wyatt and I went to Malta Bend, MO for the Sigma Kappa Parent's Reunion weekend. My soroity friends and spouses, kids and parents got together to watch the Mizzou football game. We had a great time at Cilff and Paula Gauldin's house. Can't wait for next year!
We dressed the kids up in their Halloween cosutmes. Wyatt (bat), Sam Jost (tiger), Ben Winker (kangaroo) and Keileen Burt (Piglet).
Here are my parents with Wyatt and Maverick (the dog).
Wyatt got hot in his costume and was having none of this posing for pictures anymore. Sam is trying to figure out what is wrong with Wyatt.
Sam and his Dad, Gregg - getting ready to cheer on the MU Tigers!
Jessica and Wyatt, while we are decorating pumpkins.

3 months old!

Wyatt is 3 months old on 10-11. He is holding his head up really well and acts like he wants to crawl.
He is a funny little guy and laughs a lot.
After his baths, we have to comb his hair so he doesn't get bed-head.
Here Wyatt is in his cow-towel watching Derek put lotion on his legs.
Construction on our new garage has finally started! First up, deconstruction of the two old sheds to make room for the garage. The contracter tore them up, them lit them on fire and what is left will fill the hole where an old cellar was. I saw this and thought a tornado had gone by!

Wyatt received his first pumpkin this past weekend from our friend Don Callow. We went to that Farmer's Market to pick out big pumpkins and we visited with Jessica's Dad Don.
Aunt Keri came to book club at our house last week. Everyone liked my t-shirt!

Our friend Cara came to book club too, Wyatt and her get along really well.Whew, all those ladies wore me out!
The CTA at South Holt gave us a baby shower. Here we are with our cake, it was cute AND delicious!

New links

A couple of my friends have joined in on the blogging trend. Check our their sites in the links section. Most are my Sigma Kappa friends in the KC area.

2 months old!

Here is Wyatt on his 2 month birthday (9-11-07). He is wearing a jean jacket my students gave to me last year at the FFA Banquet. We still can't do much with his crown of hair. It gives him a certain "Wild Man" look!

Here is a picture of what is on the back of the jacket, Derek is trying to help Wyatt model it.

The FFA had to run a concession stand this past week during a volleyball game. I kept Wyatt with me during it and he got a lot of attention. Here is Tavin (FFA President) holding Wyatt. He didn't want to at first but I made him (I am the teacher!), then they got along well as you can tell by the picture!

Bryant was the next to hold him, Wyatt wasn't so sure about it.

Wondering what we did with Wyatt between games when we got busy? He sat in his car seat, in a shopping cart back by the soda (or pop as they call it up here.) He had his duck and was happy as a clam. He is very laid back, which works out good for me!

Melanie! My good friend from college came by to visit on her way to her parents (who live not far from our farm).

Melanie is quite good with Wyatt. She will hold him as long as he doesn't cry, what a good policy!

Knights football

Derek and Wyatt - Wyatt is watching the ceiling fan and Derek is trying to watch some Royals baseball.
Wyatt made it to his first South Holt Knights football game They played the North Andrew Cardinals and our cousin Clayton Townsend plays for North Andrew but I teach at South Holt.
A Knights First down!

The game was postponed in the 3rd qtr. due to lightning; they finished it the next day with the Cardinals winning 30-20.
Great-Grandma Vesta was there to cheer for North Andrew and our cousin Devin came over to the South Holt side to hold Wyatt.

Wyatt really likes his crib mobile and gets excited when we turn it on.
He kicks and waves his arms around!

Labor Day weekend

This weekend we went to Tipton again to see Grandma and Grandpa Edwards. We made it back to watch the Tipton-Versailles football game. Tipton won thanks to our cousin Tanner Edwards, a 54-yard touchdown and an interception to seal the win! GO CARDINALS!

At Grandma and Grandpa Holt's house the day before they left for Australia.
Wyatt is starting to smile a lot! Here is is smiling at either Grandpa Bill or the singing cow seen in the lower right-hand corner.
I don't know why, but Wyatt was mesmerized with his Grandpa Tom!
Here Grandma Jeanne is teaching Wyatt some cheers. TIP-TON!
Cardinals win!

Another mesmerized Wyatt with his Grandpa, this time it is Derek's Dad Bill.

I had to put in a picture of Wyatt with his camoflauge overalls my friend Jessica "Pup" gave him. He will definately fit in in Andrew and Holt county.
