Summer is Over!

Argh! Summer is over, at our house at least. August 19th was my first day back to school and things were a little hectic at our house this morning. Derek was getting Wyatt some breakfast, well Wyatt's new trick is to take a big drink of juice and then let all the fluids run out of his mouth all over his shirt! So a new change of clothes was in order and trying to feed all the animals we keep gaining at our house (1 dog, 2 inside cats, 4 outside cats, and a bunny) and we were scrambling. Here are some picture of the last couple weeks of summer freedom!
Afternoon naps, what a luxury of the young!

Here is our dog, Woody. She is a young lab that must have been dumped at our house. She will not leave and chews up everything! We now have to chain her when we are not around but she is super nice - just really hyper! Wyatt sort of likes his corral, especially when the dog can't lick him to death.

MO State Fair! Here is Wyatt with Gage Swindler, son of our friends Justin and Erika Swindler. Justin and Derek were pledge brothers at Alpha Gamma Rho. You can't tell who their dads are at all!
Wyatt liked looking at the fish in the Conservation building. My dad liked getting to hang out with Wyatt (Mom too!)
Wyatt with Grandma Terri and Grandpa Bill at Rib Crib.
Ride 'em cowboy! Maybe Wyatt will become a team roper like our friend Melanie!
A stuffed black bear stood in the front door of the restaurant, we were trying to get Wyatt to pet the bear. He did not really want to but complied.

Wyatt and Cole Schweizer at Pizza Shoppe. After watching Allison and I try to feed, entertain and pick up after the boys during dinner, Derek said he was really glad we didn't have twins! (Which he had said would be cool during my pregnancy.)
" What is all this stuff, looks like this shelf needs to be unloaded." Wyatt likes doors and items behind doors. This is a common sight right before his bath.
Yeah water!!!!! Wyatt loves bathtime and playing with his basketball set from Janae and Adrian. He also likes to pick up the cups in the tub and throw them out, usually half-full of water.

Lindy Jane, What a precious "baby" boy! Just uncovered your letter from last fall with the blog address, which I had failed to access until now. Hope after a month of school the mornings are going smoother. Love you--Auntie Jane
