Yucky Weekend

Okay, it seems like every weekend is one extreme in weather or the other. Last weekend was warm and sunny. This weekend's forecast was cold and 3-6" of snow, SNOW!!!! Well, it did snow and sleet and rain but nothing really accumulated. Today (Sunday) it is warmer, if 45 degrees is warmer. Derek tied our bottle calf Smokey up out in the sun since it had been in the barn for several days. She is doing really well and sucks the milk out of the bottle rather fast. We now have a bottle holder we clamp on the gate and can go about other chores. She has a lot more energy and was not real happy about the halter.
Smokey at about 2 weeks old. Since she is a heifer should it be "Smokie"?

I bought this ride on tractor for Wyatt to ride outside, and as soon as we got it together the weather turned off bad. He has enjoyed riding it around the house this week. The first couple days we had to pry him off it to take a bath. I even hid it one morning so we didn't have a melt-down as we left for school.

Wyatt found the screwdriver and is trying to "fix" it like we were doing when we put it together. There are stickers that go on it to make it look more like a tractor, but the screws are stripped out and I am going to have to glue it together (it WAS pretty cheap for a JD toy).
